A few months before that, a driver was killed when he drove into the bridge at speed and went flying through the windscreen. Why can't council not just extend a rope across the road with chains hanging down at the correct hight. I believe that this would be an excellent early warning system and although it may just take some paint of a truck or two. at least no lives will be lost.
