Yet another prime example of the official incompetence that is South Africa today.
A normal person would not dare to break the law, but these crime-ridden savages treat the courts as an inconvenience. Once out on bail, they carry on with their murderous crime-spree, treating normal law abiding civilians with contempt.
If South Africa is winning its war on crime, as stated by senior government ministers, savage criminals would actually fear the system. It is, however, quite clear, from the manner in which they conduct themselves, that they are not afraid of the system, nor the consequences of breaking the laws of the land.
Many people have voiced the opinion that the reintroduction of capital punishment would solve the problem. Maybe it would, but I think that these savages have little or no regard for life, including their own. So, to threaten them with the death penalty would actually achieve nothing, because they are not afraid to die or to kill another person. The fact that the criminal class in South Africa is re-offending time and again is yet another indication of the collapse of law and order.
I wonder how much the robber had to pay the police in order to be set free in order to take part in another robbery? This has become a familiar pattern. If someone is actually arrested, he merely walks free a few days later just to pick up where he left off. This is not a normal society and it is not a country to raise your family - or to grow old in. How many similar gangs are roaming the streets of South Africa? I suspect hundreds, however only when prominent citizens become victims do they get media attention. I bet the muti used by these criminals (strapped to their bodies before committing a crime) is being blamed for their shortcomings and early brushes with the law.
